Agnetix Staff Accountant

We have an immediate need for a Staff Accountant with business financial software experience to join our team in San Diego.

In this role, you will play a critical role in the growth of Agnetix, directly immersed in Finance and Operations interacting directly with Sales, Marketing, our Vendors and Customers. This person is an excellent communicator and self-starter that can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Base Location: San Diego, CA

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in financial and business reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Update and import financial information into all accounts including multiple bank and credit card accounts
  • Prepare monthly bank and account reconciliations, journal entries
  • Import batches with SAP Concur expense management software
  • Process all payables
  • Compile and process all invoices
  • Compile and process all purchase orders
  • Process all receivables and manage collections
  • Administratively process receipts and reminders to customers
  • Tracking and administration of special terms and programs
  • Sales tax compilation and submission
  • Collaborate with inventory operations management – including product management, and shipping logistics
  • Process trade references into D & B
  • Complete terms and credit applications
  • Special projects

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance
  • Certificate or advanced degree a plus, not required
  • 3-5 years of public or private accounting experience, hands on, required
  • Inventory accounting experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with financial software – preferably QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise or similar versions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, pivot tables a big plus
  • CRM, Salesforce experience a plus (not required)
  • Professional business communication skills – internal and external
  • Ability to prioritize work load and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency
  • Eager to learn new tasks, and take on new responsibilities
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, affiliates, and external customers
  • Capable of pivoting priorities as needed in a dynamic new business venture environment
