Agnetix Director of Marketing

Our company is rapidly growing and we’re looking for a full-time Director of Marketing to join our team in San Diego, CA.

The Director of Marketing will play an integral role in Agnetix’s growth as a company. This candidate must represent the core values of the company, be results driven, detail-oriented, and strategic thinking. The Director of Marketing oversees all marketing planning & execution strategies. Accountable for the development, management, execution, and measurement of all aspects of the marketing/branding strategies to include, but not limited to: Positioning, Marketing Budgets, Social Media, Websites, Advertising, Creative, Influencer Marketing, Video Production, Partnerships, Tradeshows, Public Relations, Collateral, Content, and Sales Support. All efforts should be focused on developing processes and maximizing performance. Success measures include budget achievement, increasing topline revenue, optimizing expenses, and achieving channel/market share objectives. This role requires regular interaction with the Head of Sales, Head of Engineering & Product Development, external Agencies, Vendors, Contractors, as well as Customers.

Base Location: San Diego, CA (remote flexibility possible)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of the marketing strategy, inclusive of brand, messaging and positioning
  • Plan and execute a product marketing strategy for new and existing products
  • Collaborate with Finance & Accounting on budgeting, forecast and expenses
  • Develop and maintain digital marketing programs, including SEO, Paid Search, Display, Paid Social
  • Manage the strategic direction and development of all consumer-facing marketing materials, including but not limited to: Website Content, 3rd Party Sites, Digital & Print Advertising, Collateral, and Sales Tools
  • Manage marketing-related agency providers, consultants, freelancers, other suppliers, as well as influencers as part of our marketing influencer program, including vetting, contract negotiation and relationship management
  • Develop reporting processes to utilize data to evaluate effective of campaigns and make strategic decisions focused on optimizing performance, correlating to established KPI’s
  • Create and manage a calendar of events such as trade shows, conferences and thought leadership contributions
  • Conduct customer, brand, and product research initiatives to support GTM efforts
  • Manage internal and external communications, including newsletters for employees and customers
  • Measure and optimize the impact of marketing efforts on channel performance, reporting out to key stakeholders
  • Steer new marketing initiatives (content development, website improvements, email marketing development, etc.) and communicate achievements/opportunities

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of combined marketing, advertising experience. Prior technology/ green tech industry experience preferred
  • Operational excellence, including project management and end-to-end process and workflow management
  • Strong cross-functional influencing and communication skills (written, verbal and visual)
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office suite such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience with CRM software (Netsuite, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Detail-oriented person that acts with a sense of urgency
  • Effective problem-solving/listening skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, affiliates, and external customers
  • Capable of pivoting priorities as needed in a dynamic new business venture environment
